Overview

Real-world manufacturing data analytics

In this webinar case study, Amanda tells a transformational story with real-world examples that many of our clients in the manufacturing industry (and beyond) can relate to. Amanda’s refreshing account covered topics like challenges and obstacles, implementation, change management, collaboration in Dataiku, and team benefits all while making improvements and driving valuable change and impact on the business.

“Collaboration is really important, especially when you have all these different people who are interested. The operations people, the plant managers, the technologists that are building the solution, the analysts that understand the business, getting them inside of and working in one platform is really powerful.”

Challenges

Turning operational technology data into everyday manufacturing intelligence

Perdue Farms had a clear ambition: use analytics to help its manufacturing operational technology team make faster, more informed decisions. But like many manufacturers, the challenge was not simply having data, it was making that data useful, accessible, and actionable for the people closest to the operation.

To move from vision to impact, Perdue Farms needed to bring together different stakeholders across the business, from operations teams and plant managers to technologists and analysts. That required more than a platform implementation; it required collaboration, change management, and a practical way to connect analytics with day-to-day manufacturing decisions.

Solution

Bringing teams together in one analytics platform

Perdue Farms’ solution centered on using Dataiku to make manufacturing OT data more accessible, collaborative, and connected to real operational decisions. By bringing operations teams, plant managers, technologists, and business analysts into one shared platform, Perdue Farms created a more practical way to turn analytics into action.

The implementation helped bridge the gap between technical teams building the solution and business users who understood the manufacturing context. With Amplifi and Dataiku supporting the journey, Perdue Farms was able to translate its analytics vision into a working model that encouraged collaboration, supported change management, and helped teams apply data-driven insights in day-to-day manufacturing operations.

Results

From analytics vision to operational impact

With Dataiku in place, Perdue Farms was able to move beyond isolated analytics efforts and create a more connected way for manufacturing teams to work with OT data. The result was a stronger foundation for data-driven decision-making, where operations, plant leadership, technology teams, and analysts could collaborate around the same information and apply insights more directly to day-to-day manufacturing priorities.

The webinar positions the implementation as a successful example of analytics creating business value in manufacturing. While the available materials do not include a specific quantified metric, the clearest outcomes are improved collaboration, better stakeholder alignment, and a practical model for turning manufacturing data into meaningful operational change.
