What is Governance Framework?

Governance Frameworks provide a set of principles by which an organisation is governed. They define who is responsible and accountable for decision making, how decisions are made and who has a say on key decisions. In the context of Data Governance, a Data Governance Framework defines how data is governed within the organisation. A data governance framework typically defines who is accountable for commissioning data activities, making key decisions relating to data models, policies and standards, and for monitoring data quality on an ongoing basis.
