Supporting upgrades

Motability Operations has successfully completed two major upgrades to the Stibo Systems STEP system, with the most recent upgrade to version 11.1 taking place in 2023. Each upgrade offered valuable lessons for both MO and Amplifi. Drawing on these experiences, a dedicated project team collaborated closely with Amplifi to manage the upgrades. Amplifi played a key role in ensuring a smooth transition, offering proactive troubleshooting and issue resolution in conjunction with Stibo Systems.
Amplifi’s handling of the upgrade process, from triaging issues to acting as an intermediary between MO and Stibo Systems, helped to mitigate complexities arising from Motability's bespoke configuration and operational environment.
Enhancing and improving STEP
Beyond supporting system upgrades, Amplifi has been instrumental in helping MO adapt and optimise the STEP platform for their evolving business needs and regulatory requirements. For example, when recent changes in Scottish Government policies necessitated modifications to STEP, Amplifi facilitated the necessary adjustments quickly and efficiently. These efforts ensure that the platform remains adaptable to new challenges and consistently aligned with MO’s business objectives.

Since partnering with Amplifi in the summer of 2019 as third-party support partner, Motability Operations has developed a highly effective and professional relationship with the Amplifi team. The collaborative efforts of the Amplifi team with the MO team have ensured a seamless working dynamic, enabling Motability Operations to continue delivering exceptional service to its customers. The strong relationships built with Amplifi have been essential in navigating challenges and achieving significant milestones together.
